A Honda is the Perfect Car For Los Angeles Actors on the Rise

Submitted By: Jacqueline Star

If you want to become a famous actor or a singer, there is no better place to make it than in the city of Los Angeles. If you have the talent and the dedication it’s possible to make your dreams a reality in this historic place. Los Angeles has it all; the gorgeous beaches and hidden enclaves of the rich and famous in Malibu, the show stopping Hollywood sign in the hills and the trendiest A-list clubs on Sunset Boulevard. If you are new here and planning to make it big then you probably can’t afford a Rolls Royce yet. Here are the top cars to drive in Los Angeles if you’re new in town and are planning to make it big.
Competition is tough in this town and you definitely need to make it to your auditions and casting calls on time. It would be truly disastrous to have your car break down in the middle of Burbank, Van Nuys or Chatsworth when you have an important audition. The 2010 Accord is an excellent choice because it’s dependable and reliable. Few cars have won as many awards and received as many accolades this one. Three engine choices are available; two V4 engines and a V6 for more power.
Mileage for the V6 accord stands at 19 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the highway. The more sedate four cylinder offers 23 mpg in the city and 34 mpg numbers, quite acceptable figures considering that you will be doing a lot of driving (or mainly sitting in traffic) on L.A roadways. The cabin is one of the largest in its class and offers easy to read LCD screens and an optional navigation system which is very useful in case you get lost (and trust me, it won’t be hard getting lost since the freeway system can be quite confusing). The base cost is around the mid $20k, an affordable price which will allow you to spend more on expensive acting and voice coaching.
If you have a preference for smaller vehicles then the Civic would be a solid choice. A smaller car will make it easier to navigate the city’s narrow streets and parallel park into a tight spot with plenty of ease. In addition, the Civic offers great gas mileage, a sporty style and a sweet interior. The 2010 Civic is equipped with a 1.8 Liter V4 and buyers can select from a manual or automatic transmission. Gas mileage stands at 21 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the freeway.
With enough grit, ambition and the desire to make it big; anything is possible. Having a reliable car in L.A is extremely important since this is a city where a car is king; frequent freeway driving will be involved in order to travel from once city to another. Once you get your first seven figure paycheck feel free to trade up for a Bentley or a Maserati. However, the Honda Civic or Accord would be an excellent choice for someone on the way to the top.
